Dime community chest benefits local business, nonprofits and communities

New York metropolitan area businesses, nonprofits and communities are benefitting from Dime’s new “community chest” for support. Dime Community Bank has made significant efforts to support neighboring communities and businesses by funding a philanthropic community chest initiative. Below are some of our most recent support initiatives:

Dime Community Bank gives $200,000 in 2020 to 40 small businesses and not-for-profit organizations in the 5 New York boroughs.

To help provide support to those neighboring businesses that were impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dime has created the Small Business Grant Program (SBG Program). The SBG Program is designated to be a resource for those small businesses that may not qualify for government programs.

Dime Stands With You.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dime Community Bank has donated $30,000 to our regional food banks to assist in relief efforts. Dime appreciates their support to the community during this unprecedented crisis.

Dime proudly supports the PinkTie Doorstep Delivery Program.

When the PinkTie organization reached out, it was obvious that it was a perfect fit for Dime to lend support. These Food Drives will have a direct impact to communities, and help the very families that make New York what it is today. Dime is proud to be a supporter of the PinkTie Doorstep Delivery Program and Pink Tie as a resource for families of New York in need.

Was your business damaged during the recent looting?

The Coronavirus pandemic has adversely impacted many businesses in our neighboring communities. In addition, the recent looting has also affected the physical structures of these businesses. Dime partnered with Heart 9/11 to offer contract laborer assistance to help local businesses in their rebuilding efforts.
