Welcome to Check Positive Pay
Dime Community Bank’s Check Positive Pay solution enables you to protect your business from check fraud. With Check Positive Pay, we will match the checks presented to the bank for payment to the list of checks provided by your business. If exceptions are found, we’ll report them to your business for review. Effective January 16, 2024 Dime is moving to a new, more robust Check Positive Pay to better assist you with stopping check fraud on your accounts. The new system has the ability to review and analyze the Payee information on the checks.

Why is the Check Positive Pay service changing?
Dime Community Bank is moving to a new, more robust Check Positive Pay product to assist you with stopping check fraud on your accounts. The new system also adds the ability to decision upon the Payee.
Can I use the Check Positive Pay Payee option for my checks?
If you currently have a payee in your file, the service has been upgraded to read the payee from your file. If you do not have a Payee in your file but would like to add this ability, please contact your local branch or banker. Let them know that you are interested in adding the Check Positive Pay Payee to your Positive Pay settings. A Treasury Management Team member will contact you to obtain the new file specifications that include the Payee prior to your first upload of issues. Do I have to make any changes to my file that I currently upload?
No changes need to be made to your file. We have configured the system to accept your file in its current configuration.
How do I access the new system?
The new system is accessed through your Business Online Banking PLUS.
- Through a web browser, click on Stops & Positive and select Fraud Prevention.
- Through the secure browser select Fraud Prevention.

Has the decision deadline been changed?
No, you will still be required to make your decisions by 1pm EST or the system decision based upon your current default decision.
Will I still receive email notifications about items to be decisioned?
Yes, you will continue to receive email notifications when you have items to be decisioned. These notifications are sent prior to 8am each day. The new system also has the ability to send SMS messages. To add this type of notification to your accounts, please contact your local branch or banker to request the service be added.

Will I be able to see any prior decisions from the current system when I am moved to the new system?
Once you are converted to the new system, you will no longer be able to access the decision activity history. If you require reporting on prior decisions, please login and download your decision activity prior to January 12th at 9pm.
Will any prior imported files or check issues need to be loaded into the new system?
No, you will not be required to re-upload any files or issues into the new system. Any checks issued in the past 366 days that have not been presented for payment, will be converted to the new system.
