Surrounding towns include Beth Page, Dix Hills, and West Hills. It does not have a Long Island Railroad Station (LIRR) but stations can be found in neighboring towns.

MELVILLE

Located mid-way on Long Island, Melville is equidistant to both the sophistication of the city and waterfront recreation and beaches. It is easily reached by either the Long Island Expressway (LIE) and the Northern State Parkway, two of the country’s busiest highways. New York State Route 110 runs right through its center. The area was once known as Sweet Hollow, due to the wild honey early settlers found there. But today, due to its convenient location, Melville boasts a high number of corporate headquarters and operational centers.
